Bookkeeper

Join a fully remote Client Accounting Services (CAS) team as a Bookkeeper, supporting recurring bookkeeping and accounting needs for small business clients. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and growing their accounting skills.
You’ll work within established processes, collaborate with experienced professionals, and receive ongoing mentorship while supporting a variety of client accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) for an assigned client portfolio
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies
- Track recurring journal entries (fixed assets, prepaids, accruals) with guidance from senior team members
- Support month-end close: reconciliations, adjusting entries, and draft P&L/balance sheet reporting
- Flag unusual transactions and reconciliation items for senior review
- Communicate professionally with clients to request documentation and clarify transactions
- Assist with quarterly/year-end deliverables, including tax workpapers, sales tax filings, 1099 prep, and business license renewals
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience (public accounting/CAS/outsourced accounting preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, debits/credits, and core accounting principles
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, sorting/filtering, basic pivot tables)
- Authorized to work in the United States
Salary: $70,000/year
