Tax Senior – Real Estate Focus

A public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Senior with expertise in real estate taxation. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for real estate entities and investors, along with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for real estate clients, including partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and individual investors
- Perform high-level tax preparation and basic review of tax returns and supporting workpapers
- Research tax issues and assist with identifying practical solutions
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax engagements
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects as needed
- Stay current on tax law changes impacting real estate and closely held businesses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license preferred, or actively pursuing CPA certification
- 3–6+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong experience with real estate taxation required
- Ability to prepare complex individual, partnership, and business tax returns
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing tax returns prepared by staff
- Familiarity with real estate partnerships, property investments, and related tax matters
- Strong client service orientation and attention to detail
Work Setup
- Hybrid (Woodland Hills, CA) preferred
- Remote candidates will also be considered
Compensation
- Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 annually (DOE)
- Compensation will be based on experience, credentials, and overall qualifications
