A growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its collaborative tax practice. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys leading client engagements, developing high-performing teams, and delivering strategic tax solutions to privately held businesses and individuals across a variety of industries.

As a Tax Manager, you’ll take ownership of client relationships, oversee multiple engagements, and work closely with firm leadership to deliver exceptional service while helping shape the future of the tax practice.

What You’ll Do

• Review complex tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, individuals, and other entity types while ensuring engagements are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Lead multiple client engagements from planning through completion, maintaining high-quality service and strong client satisfaction.
• Provide tax planning, consulting, and strategic guidance to help clients achieve their financial and business objectives.
• Research technical tax issues and develop practical solutions for clients and engagement teams.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships by recommending additional tax and advisory services.
• Build a strong understanding of each client’s business, industry, and operational goals to provide proactive and value-added advice.
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff and senior associates by providing technical guidance, constructive feedback, and career development support.
• Effectively manage engagement staffing, scheduling, utilization, and project budgets.
• Develop and strengthen professional relationships with referral sources and members of the local business community.
• Participate in special projects and other client service initiatives as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including prior experience in a manager-level role.
• Experience serving privately held businesses and individual clients across multiple industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and tax planning strategies.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and client relationship skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client locations and office sites as needed.

Salary: $100,000 – $155,000 (DOE)
