An established public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its growing assurance practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative leader who enjoys managing client engagements, mentoring professionals, and delivering high-quality assurance services to privately held businesses across a variety of industries.

As an Audit Manager, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients while leading engagement teams through every stage of the audit process. You’ll play an important role in developing talent, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of the firm’s assurance practice.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead audit, review, and other assurance engagements from planning through final delivery.
  • Review financial statements, workpapers, and engagement documentation to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality expectations.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while balancing deadlines, budgets, staffing, and overall project performance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, operations, and industry to provide practical insights and value-added recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining proactive communication and building long-term relationships.
  • Identify accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters and work with clients to develop practical solutions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop senior associates, associates, and other team members through coaching, feedback, and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on engagement planning, client service initiatives, and practice development opportunities.
  • Support business development efforts by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Stay current on auditing standards, accounting guidance, and industry developments to ensure high-quality client service.

What We’re Looking For

  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of recent public accounting audit experience, including experience leading engagements and supervising staff.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Commitment to mentoring, developing, and supporting team members.
  • Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office applications.

Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 (DOE)
