Audit Manager

A growing CPA firm is hiring an Audit Manager in Raleigh, NC, with strong experience in the construction industry. This role is a fit for someone who can manage audit engagements, work directly with clients, supervise staff, and bring practical experience serving construction companies in a public accounting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage audit engagements from planning through completion, with a focus on construction clients.
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Serve as a primary client contact, communicating timelines, open items, findings, and recommendations.
- Supervise, train, and review the work of audit seniors and staff throughout engagements.
- Identify technical accounting, reporting, and internal control issues, and work with leadership to develop solutions.
- Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, staffing needs, and client expectations.
- Support firm leadership with client service, process improvements, and team development.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required.
- Strong construction industry audit experience required.
- Experience managing audit engagements, reviewing workpapers, and supervising staff.
- Strong client communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Local to Raleigh, NC, or open to working with clients in the Raleigh market.
