Tax Senior 

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join their growing multi-family office advisory firm. This position is 100% focused on tax preparation, with the responsibility of preparing complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and related entities. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while working closely with a team of seasoned professionals to deliver high-quality tax services to clients across the U.S.

The ideal candidate will have strong tax preparation experience and a deep understanding of the tax issues affecting high-net-worth individuals and multi-family offices.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Preparation (100%):
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, families, partnerships, trusts, and related entities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, including 1040s, 1041s, 1065s, and other related forms.
  • Prepare tax projections and estimates for high-net-worth clients and entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of Schedule K-1s and other tax-related documentation.
  • Handle tax compliance for individuals, families, and their investments, ensuring adherence to all federal and state tax laws.
• Tax Compliance & Review:
  • Collaborate with tax managers and directors to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all tax filings.
  • Review supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies, providing required documentation and addressing tax-related questions.
• Client Interaction & Reporting:
  • Communicate with clients and their representatives to collect necessary information for tax filings.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients on tax-related matters and respond to inquiries regarding tax filings and obligations.
  • Ensure confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on current tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax preparation processes and implement best practices.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance the tax preparation process.

Requirements:

• Education & Certification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
• Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in tax preparation, preferably within a multi-family office, public accounting firm, or tax-focused environment.
  • Extensive experience preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, families, and trusts.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, GoSystem, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations affecting high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and trusts.

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000
