Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the company, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management. This role will require close collaboration with the CEO and executive leadership to drive financial performance, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure that the company remains on solid financial footing while pursuing growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability in the real estate and construction sectors.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company’s assets and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow analysis and forecasting, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and capital investments.
  • Financing & Capital Structure: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure funding, manage debt, and optimize capital structure.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls and financial processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, legal requirements, and financial reporting standards relevant to the real estate and construction industries.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and project managers to align financial goals with business operations and development plans.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate development, construction financing, and project management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations, industry standards, and financial reporting requirements.

Salary: $225,000 + bonus
