Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage individual and partnership tax planning, consulting and compliance.
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns.
  • Assist Managers in identifying and researching various client issues, and regularly communicate with clients and management.
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to new or existing clients.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor staff associates, including interns.
Requirements:
  • CPA certification required or in progress.
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
  • Master of Science in Taxation preferred, but not required.
  • At least 3 years of current public accounting experience.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge, oral and written communication skills.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Salary: $85,000-$115,000

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, evaluate internal controls, execute activities of various high profile clients

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial activities of the company, including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management. This role will require close collaboration with the CEO and executive leadership to drive financial performance, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure that the company remains on solid financial footing while pursuing growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and profitability in the real estate and construction sectors.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the company’s assets and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow analysis and forecasting, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and capital investments.
  • Financing & Capital Structure: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure funding, manage debt, and optimize capital structure.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls and financial processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, legal requirements, and financial reporting standards relevant to the real estate and construction industries.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and project managers to align financial goals with business operations and development plans.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of real estate development, construction financing, and project management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations, industry standards, and financial reporting requirements.

You will be responsible for accurate and timely completion of tax returns while being encouraged and recognized for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnership, Estate, Trust, and Non-Profit tax returns
  • Payroll and sales tax return preparation and review
  • Prepare year-end adjusting entries and working trial balance
  • Assist in analyzing budgets and cash flows
  • Regular communication with clients regarding updates, questions, concerns, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Taxation a plus
  • CPA candidate working towards license, CPA a plus
  • 1+ years of public accounting
  • Experience with software for tax preparation and tax research
